Then she went to the tent post at the head of the bed and took down the sword that hung there. 9 Drawing it from the sheath, she lifted the stupefied Holofernes by his hair, saying, " Strenthen me, O Lord God, at this hour. " 10 And she struck twice with all her might at his neck and cut off his head. she rolled the his body off the bed, and concealed the head in the bedspread. 11 Then she went out, gave the head of Holofernes to her maid and told her to put it in the food bag.
